Job Description
SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR
The Safety Administrator is responsible for overseeing and enforcing all safety measures for our client companies. Detailed knowledge of OSHA guidelines and the ability to detect and eradicate any health and safety hazards are paramount. At Hunter Employment, Safety is Job Number One.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and implements safety programs for designated companies and workspaces
Stays up-to-date on state and Federal workplace safety regulations
Runs informational meetings for employees regarding proper health and safety habits and procedures at work
Identifies health and safety hazards at client companies
Recommends ways to improve health and safety in the workplace
Writes reports detailing health and safety issues
Presents reports and suggestions for improvement to the Hunter Vice President
Fields inquiries from employees about proper safety procedures
Responds to on-site emergencies
Investigates on-the-job emergencies and accidents
Identifies hazards or faults that caused the accident and devises strategic plan to remedy the problems
Monitors all work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Conducts safety audits on a regular basis as determined by the client company
Implements the Hunter Employment IIPP Safety Manual
Reports to Hunter Employment Vice President, assisting the VP in other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Prefer A.A. in General Studies
Prefer 5 to 7 years experience in safety operations
Prefer practical, creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills who exercises caution and alertness at all times
Prefer detail-oriented leader who remains calm in crisis situations
